What Axya is building
Axya is procurement software for manufacturers who build complex things like aircraft, space hardware and hydraulics. It is not trying to replace the ERP. It sits between the ERP and the supply base as an 'execution layer.' It takes whatever suppliers send (emails, PDFs, EDI), turns it into structured data, and handles the follow-ups a buyer would otherwise chase by hand. The product has three modules. RFQ Management covers sourcing a part. Order Management tracks purchase orders to delivery. Vendor Management covers supplier performance and qualification. The key design choice is that suppliers take part through their existing formats and channels, with no new portal to log into. That matters because the long tail of machine shops will never adopt one. It connects to Infor, Epicor, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and Sage, with human-in-the-loop workflows on top. The customer list is aerospace-heavy: MDA Space, GE Aerospace, Airbus's A220 program in Canada, Avior Integrated Products and Hyco Canada. Axya says Airbus cut RFQ processing time by 90%. BetaKit reports ARR in the multi-million-dollar range, doubling year over year, about 140% net revenue retention, and more than 80,000 suppliers on the network.
Why this matters
Félix Bélisle-Dockrill's diagnosis is blunt: manufacturers 'lose time and money because procurement still runs on email, spreadsheets, and ERPs that don't talk to suppliers.' ERPs were built as systems of record. Nobody built the layer where a buyer actually chases a late PO. That gap is where AI is most useful: messy unstructured supplier documents, with clear before-and-after metrics. Around 140% NRR says customers who adopt it expand inside the plant. Six years in, with a supplier network in the tens of thousands, Axya is past the 'does this work' stage and into 'how fast can we sell it.'
Investors: McRock Capital (Udit Bhatnagar), Yamaha Motor Ventures, BDC Industrial Innovation Venture Fund, Real Ventures, CIBC Innovation Banking (debt)
Hiring outlook
Growing sales, customer success and engineering is a stated use of the round, BetaKit reports a plan to go from 40 to 55 people by year-end, and six roles are live on the Rippling board.
Working at Axya
Axya is a Tech company based in Montreal, Canada. For a Tech company this size, the reality is broad remit, direct access to founders, and equity that still means something if the company works out.
Most Axya jobs are based in Montreal, Canada.
How to actually get hired at Axya
Why applying the normal way doesn't work
With only <50 employees, Axya doesn't have dedicated recruiters. Founders review applications between running the company. The challenge isn't competition â it's visibility. Direct outreach wins.

Founding team
Félix is a mechanical engineer who worked in supplier quality at Bombardier and Airbus before co-founding Axya (then called GRAD4) in Montreal in 2019. He saw firsthand how purchasing for complex aerospace parts ran on email and spreadsheets, and has led Axya from its 2022 seed to this Series A.
Karim studied at the Université de Moncton (2009-2013) and co-founded Axya as CTO. He leads engineering from Montreal and took the platform through SOC 2 Type 2, which enterprise aerospace customers require.
What to show them
A one-page account plan for a real Tier 2 aerospace supplier in Quebec or Ontario that isn't on Axya's customer list: who owns procurement, which ERP they probably run, and what the 90% RFQ-time reduction from Airbus A220 would be worth to them.

What Axya screens for
McRock Capital invests only in industrial tech, and Udit Bhatnagar is joining the board. His quote gives the thesis: 'critical decisions still depend on scattered information.' Yamaha Motor Ventures is a strategic signal, a large manufacturer backing the tool its own buyers would use. BDC and Real Ventures followed on from the seed. The round is small for a Series A because the business is already working (doubling ARR, 140% NRR), and venture debt makes up part of the round. The two roles to watch are Integration Lead and Security Compliance Lead. Every new enterprise logo means another ERP connection and another security review, and those are the bottlenecks that decide how fast Axya can sell.
Tailor your CV to the specific Axya role rather than sending a general one. Applications that mirror the language of the job description clear automated filters at a materially higher rate.
Don't make these mistakes
Don't pitch Félix on 'digital transformation.' He ran supplier quality at Bombardier and Airbus and has heard that phrase from every vendor who ever sold to aerospace. It's exactly why he says procurement is still fragmented. Don't frame Axya as an ERP replacement either. Integrating with the ERP is the whole point. With Karim, who took the company to SOC 2 Type 2, skip vague 'AI agents' talk and show you know what an EDI 855 or a supplier PDF quote looks like in practice.
Mistakes that kill Axya applications
A recycled CV gets rejected fast at Axya (<50 people). They notice.
Lead with their problem, not your ambition. Axya is focused on FĂ©lix BĂ©lisle-Dockrill's diagnosis is blunt: manufacturers 'lose time and money because procurement still runs on email, spreadsheets, and ERPs that don't talk to suppliers â show you understand that.
Don't apply and wait. The median Tech application gets no response ever. One follow-up at day five roughly doubles reply rates.
