What Daptic is building
Daptic is a product compliance lifecycle platform for large manufacturers. Its argument is about timing. Most companies treat regulation as a gate at the end: the product is designed, then legal and regulatory teams check it, then something gets redesigned. Daptic moves that work to the start, so the regulations that apply to a product are worked out and turned into requirements before the design is locked. The product does this in a few steps. It monitors more than 10,000 regulatory sources worldwide. It works out which obligations apply to a given product, interprets them, turns them into concrete product requirements, and assigns those requirements to the right products and the people who own them. AI does the finding and drafting, experts make the calls, and every requirement links back to its source text. For a regulated hardware company, that link back to the source is what makes the output something you can defend in an audit. Honda is a named customer. The CEO's LinkedIn says Daptic supports the development of products used by more than 100 million people. The Tokyo office suggests Japanese manufacturers are a deliberate focus, not a one-off.
Why this matters
Product regulation keeps multiplying across jurisdictions: chemical restrictions, battery and packaging rules, right-to-repair, and AI and cybersecurity requirements now applying to physical products. For a manufacturer shipping one product into dozens of markets, finding out about a rule late means redesign, recertification and a slipped launch. Daptic's own claim is that the cost sits in the handoff between regulatory teams and engineering, which is still mostly spreadsheets and email. That gives it a large, painful, non-AI-native budget line to win, and customers like Honda don't switch systems often once a tool is embedded in their development process.

Hiring outlook
Baptiste's LinkedIn headline reads 'CEO at Daptic - we're hiring!' and daptic.com links to a Dover jobs board. The funding release only commits to 'scale operations' and support 'larger customer deployments', so the hiring is real but not spelled out role by role.

What to show them

What Daptic screens for
Rebecca Lynn (Canvas) and Brad Gillespie (IA Ventures) both joined the board, so both firms are closely involved, not passive check-writers. IA Ventures has long backed data-heavy infrastructure, and Canvas has backed enterprise software for years. Lynn said Daptic is 'on track to become the de facto system that leading global manufacturers use to launch faster.' At $22M raised, the team is still small and Series A was about scaling enterprise deployments, so early engineers will own whole customer rollouts.
Tailor your CV to the specific Daptic role rather than sending a general one. Applications that mirror the language of the job description clear automated filters at a materially higher rate.
Don't make these mistakes
The whole founding team (Baptiste, Hannah, Gabby) studied at MIT, and Baptiste and Gabby both worked at McKinsey. A vague 'AI can transform compliance' pitch will read like a deck they've already seen and passed on. Don't call this a GRC or checkbox tool either. Their point is that compliance belongs in product design, not in audit prep.
Mistakes that kill Daptic applications
Don't send the same CV you sent everywhere else. At people it's obvious, and it's the fastest rejection there is.
Lead with their problem, not your ambition. Daptic is focused on Product regulation keeps multiplying across jurisdictions: chemical restrictions, battery and packaging rules, right-to-repair, and AI and cybersecurity requirements now applying to physical products β show you understand that.
Don't apply and wait. The median Tech application gets no response ever. One follow-up at day five roughly doubles reply rates.
