The platform job posting is explicit that audit trails and documentation are part of feature completeness, not an afterthought. The unusual move is operating the control centre themselves rather than selling software to incumbent Notruf- und Serviceleitstellen. Tagesspiegel Background's coverage of the round is headlined as financing for a control-centre takeover, and the reporter's own summary is that instead of selling to single customers, the founders are taking over an entire NSL with its customers in their first business year. That gives the operations, engineering and product teams a live loop: workflows get updated from real incidents rather than from a software vendor's roadmap. Why this matters
The HTGF release lists the threat context plainly: attacks on substations, fires in railway cable ducts, drone incursions over airports and industrial sites. Germany's response is sensors at a scale the industry has never deployed, across homes, commercial sites, stations, substations and data centres. But sensors produce signals, not decisions, and the control centres that turn signals into action are a fragmented, people-constrained layer. The bet is on technological sovereignty: a European-built, European-operated security stack for the sites a country depends on.
