Creator marketing run end-to-end by agents instead of account managers

What Fluencify is building

Fluencify's premise is that almost none of the work in creator marketing is creative. A brand describes the outcome it wants. Agents then handle creator discovery and matching, run the outreach, field the replies, write the briefs, answer creator questions before anyone starts filming, schedule the posts and the paid boosting, and settle cross-border payouts in more than 85 countries. The human step is one strategy call. The structural bet underneath the product is the ambassador model: a creator works with a brand on a recurring basis rather than shipping one paid post and moving on. That changes what the software has to be. A one-off campaign tool is a marketplace with a booking flow. A recurring ambassador program is an operations system with memory — who performed, against which brief, in which market, at which price, and whether they shipped on time. Fluencify says it has more than 13,000 active creators, working with brands whose combined market cap it puts at $30bn, skewed toward consumer and prosumer software that demos well on camera: AI tools, productivity apps, education software. The company also indexes the market it sells into. Its site claims 700,000+ short-form videos indexed across customer categories, used to read which hooks are working before a brief gets written. The Founding Engineer, Agents posting describes the job in the same terms: turn messy creator-market data into reliable, agent-legible context, then build production agent systems with tool use, orchestration, memory and evals on top of it. That is a data-moat argument dressed as a job description, and it is the more interesting half of the company. Commercially they sit between two things customers already hate. Agencies charge 20–40% markups and hand back a spreadsheet at month end. Self-serve platforms hand you a login and a to-do list. Fluencify sells the agency outcome at platform economics, which only works if the coordination really is automatable.

Why this matters

This is the same wager being made across go-to-market software, applied to a category that has been almost entirely staffed by people: that the coordination layer is the part worth automating first, because the expensive humans spend most of their hours chasing other humans. Erik Romdhane's own framing is that the creative work was the smallest part of running an agency, and that everything else — sourcing, chasing replies, briefing, paying people across borders — scales only by hiring. The number that makes this concrete is $2M ARR six months from launch with six employees. That ratio is the whole thesis, and it is the thing a candidate should interrogate rather than admire: how much of that revenue is managed service today versus software, and what does the agent layer actually own end-to-end. The risk is equally legible. byFounders was an early backer of Lovable when that was also a small Stockholm team, so the pattern-match is clear, but the US expansion puts a six-person Swedish company into the most crowded creator marketing market in the world. And the open question sitting under the whole category — whether audiences can tell that the pipeline is automated, and whether they mind — is not settled.

Hiring outlook

Three live founding roles on the Ashby board and on fluencify.io/labs/careers, all Stockholm, all on-site, all full time. The round's stated first use is 'hire engineers in Stockholm.' How to actually get hired at Fluencify

Why applying the normal way doesn't work

Fluencify has an ATS but the real pipeline is referrals → sourced → recruiter picks → cold apps. You can still get through, but know where you stand.

What to show them

Take one leg of their pipeline — creator reply handling — and build a working agent for it against real messy data. Scrape a few hundred public creator bios and post captions in one vertical, build the context layer that makes them agent-legible, then write an agent that classifies inbound replies into interested / needs-price / wrong-fit / ghosted and drafts the next message. The deliverable is not the agent. It is the eval harness: a labelled set, a scoring rubric, and an honest number for where it fails. Their posting asks for 'evals' and 'measure honestly' in the same breath; hand them the measurement, not the demo.

A cold email that works at Fluencify

Subject: Founding Engineer, Agents (Stockholm, on-site — orchestration, tool use, memory, evals), [your one-line proof]
Hi Erik, you said the creative work was the smallest part of running an agency and everything else scaled only by hiring. I took the reply-handling slice of that and built an eval set for it — 400 real creator replies, labelled, scored against an agent I wrote this week. It gets 81% and I can tell you exactly which 19% it gets wrong and why. Repo and the failure taxonomy attached.

What Fluencify screens for

byFounders closed an oversubscribed fund of more than €130m in June and was early into Lovable when that was also a small Stockholm team; Magnus Hambleton taking a board seat at pre-seed says they are treating this as a fund-returner rather than an option. The three roles are all titled 'Founding' — engineering, agents, and GTM — which means the first two or three hires define how the agent layer and the sales motion get built, before New York opens and the headcount curve bends. There are six people today. That window closes fast.

Don't send a generic CV to Fluencify. Mirror the job posting's language to get past automated screening.

Don't make these mistakes

Do not open with excitement about AI agents or the creator economy. Erik has been inside creator marketing since his mid-teens and sold an agency at 17 after running campaigns for 100+ brands — he has heard every version of that sentence from people who have never written a brief. He also does not believe the creative work is the hard part, so pitching yourself as a creative thinker misses. And do not lead with follower counts or big-audience creators as a proxy for quality: Sam has publicly argued that follower count is the worst possible filter for UGC, since the video runs as paid media in front of the brand's own audience. Bring an operations failure you have actually seen and how you would instrument it.

Mistakes that kill Fluencify applications

At people, a copy-paste CV is immediately obvious. It's an instant no.

Lead with their problem, not your ambition. Fluencify is focused on This is the same wager being made across go-to-market software, applied to a category that has been almost entirely staffed by people: that the coordination layer is the part worth automating first, because the expensive humans spend most of their hours chasing other humans — show you understand that.

Don't apply and wait. The median Tech application gets no response ever. One follow-up at day five roughly doubles reply rates.
