Henry AI
henry.ai · New York, NY · AI that automates the back office of commercial real estate deals (underwriting, decks, comps)
What they're building
Henry automates the document-heavy grunt work of commercial real estate brokerage. From a sentence and a rent roll, it builds a custom underwriting model (living in Excel, syncing back), ranks comps and past transactions from a firm's own data, writes market research with cited sources, drafts institutional pitch decks on the firm's brand, and generates ranked buyer lists from the firm's CRM and closing history. It runs from email and inside Excel — no new tool to learn. The deeper play (Henry Deal) is a system of record that turns a firm's scattered institutional knowledge into reusable operational intelligence. Per its release, automation 'reduced analyst production time by approximately 90%,' cutting work that required about 15 hours per deliverable to roughly 30 minutes of human review.
Why this matters
FirstMark (Shopify, Discord, Pinterest) leading, with Thomson Reuters Ventures as a strategic, is a strong Series A signal. The kicker: FirstMark's Adam Nelson, who led the round and joined the board, originally advised Greenwall against starting the company when they met during the 2024 YC batch — his view rested on brokers being a difficult group to sell software to. Henry reached most of the largest US brokerages anyway. That's a 'proved the skeptic wrong' story investors love.
