Four Pillars
4pillars.io · Seoul, South Korea · Institutional blockchain research and infrastructure firm
What they're building
Four Pillars is three years old and already one of the most-read institutional blockchain research houses in Asia, with 600+ published research reports, 100+ protocol partnerships, and an established validator arm called FP Validated. With the Series A, the firm is restructuring into three distinct product lines. FP Research becomes a formal research operation divided into five specialized divisions, covering infrastructure, DeFi, RWA, stablecoins, and consumer applications. FP Validated becomes a standalone institutional-grade validator infrastructure business: node operation, staking services, and protocol participation across major networks including Ethereum (Lido stVaults), Solana, and others. FP Institution becomes the bridge product: seminars, advisory services, and structured programming connecting traditional finance institutions to the blockchain ecosystem. The thesis connecting all three is the same one the firm was built on: information asymmetry between global protocols and institutional actors is the friction that slows Web3 adoption, and Four Pillars eliminates it.
Why this matters
Institutional blockchain adoption is no longer theoretical. Franklin Templeton tokenized five ETFs in a partnership with Ondo Finance. ICE (NYSE's parent) put $2 billion into Polymarket. Tier-one banks are entering Morpho. The GENIUS Act has created the first stablecoin regulatory framework in the US. Every one of these developments requires institutional decision-makers to understand blockchain infrastructure deeply enough to act on it. Most of them cannot. The people who can explain Ethereum's Pectra upgrade, the mechanics of LayerZero's DVN architecture, or the risk parameters of RWA collateral on Morpho to a managing director at a sovereign wealth fund are extremely rare. Four Pillars has been building that capacity in Korean and English for three years. The Series A is the moment they scale it globally. The validator infrastructure piece is equally important: FP Validated's application to be a Lido stVault Basic Operator puts it inside the Ethereum staking stack at an institutional level. That is not a research sideline. It is a separate revenue-generating business that compounds the research credibility with operational skin in the game.
