Noetive

Self-improving industrial AI plus a sensing pod for factories, logistics and construction

What Noetive is building

Noetive is building what it calls the 'intelligence of record' for the physical economy: a system that learns how a specific factory floor or freight operation actually runs, then plans and acts inside it. Two primitives. The 'brain' is a self-improving AI that ingests the operation's system data, learns its behaviour over time, and deploys agents inside the operator tools staff already use rather than replacing them. The 'eyes and ears' is a multi-modal sensing pod Noetive designed itself, so the model is not limited to whatever the ERP or WMS happens to record; it perceives the site. The founders' framing is that current AI was designed for information work, and the physical economy was left behind because the ground truth lives in spatial and operational behaviour that no SaaS system captures. The three launch use cases on the site are concrete: dynamic production planning in manufacturing, automated manifest consolidation in logistics, and closing the plan-to-site gap in construction. Design partner Steuben Foods says production planning that used to happen monthly and take a week now runs daily in minutes. The team is unusually senior for a seed: Amir Frenkel ran teams at Meta as a VP for nearly a decade and was Eclipse's first Chief AI Officer before spinning this out; Dan Barak founded Stackbit and ran product at Netlify after the acquisition. The founding technical staff list ten names on day one.

Why this matters

Lior Susan's number in the announcement is the thesis: 'AI has transformed the digital world, but the $30 trillion physical economy has largely been left behind.' Eclipse raised a $1.3B fund in April 2026 specifically for AI, robotics and physical industries, and Noetive is the firm's own CAIO spinning out with Eclipse leading, which is about as strong a signal of fund conviction as exists. Foundation models have not touched most plants because the data they would need does not exist in any system; Noetive's answer is to bring its own sensors and treat the model's job as learning the operation, not answering questions about it. If that works at Steuben Foods it generalises to every mid-size manufacturer running planning off a spreadsheet.

Investors: Eclipse (Lior Susan), Craft Ventures, The Westly Group, Swish Ventures, Factory, Incite Ventures, Gigascale Capital, Operator Partners, Liquid 2 Ventures, Angels: Andrew Bosworth, Ahmad Al-Dahle, Matt Rogers, Mike Schroepfer, Boris Sofman, Yaser Sheikh, Zach Frenkel, Dean Leitersdorf, Moshe Shalev, Orian Leitersdorf

Hiring outlook

The press release says the company is 'actively hiring AI researchers and full-stack AI native engineers', and the team page lists three open roles (AI Research Scientist, AI Native Full Stack Engineer, AI Native Product Manager), all US remote, with apply@noetive.ai as the channel. Dan Barak's LinkedIn is actively posting the same roles.

How to actually get hired at Noetive

Why applying the normal way doesn't work

There's an ATS, but at Noetive, referrals get priority. Your cold application competes with sourced candidates and internal recommendations.

What to show them

A world-model or planning result on real operational data, not a benchmark: for example, learn a production-line simulator from event logs plus a video feed and show it predicting throughput changes under a schedule perturbation. The post asks for language, vision and world modeling together; show the seam between them.

A cold email that works at Noetive

Subject: AI Research Scientist (PhD-level; language, vision and world modeling; US remote), [your one-line proof]
Hi Amir, the hard part of an industrial world model is not the vision, it is that the plant's own ERP lies about what happened on the floor. I have trained a planning model on event logs reconciled against sensor data and can show where the two disagreed and what it cost. That reconciliation seems like the core of what the pod is for; I'd like to work on it.

What Noetive screens for

Eclipse leading its own Chief AI Officer's spinout with $41M and a nine-firm syndicate, plus angels who are the CTOs of Meta and Airbnb, is a bet on team pedigree and on Eclipse's portfolio of physical-industry companies as a customer channel. The hiring window is now: the company is one day out of stealth, has design partners in four verticals, and is recruiting PhD researchers and full-stack engineers before it has a public product. Ten founding technical staff means the culture is set but the org chart is not. The construction vertical already has a GM (West Coast), which tells you where the first commercial push is.

A tailored CV beats a generic one. Use Noetive's job description language to clear filters.

Don't make these mistakes

Amir spent nearly a decade as a VP at Meta and was Eclipse's Chief AI Officer; he has heard every 'AI for manufacturing' pitch from the investor side of the table. Do not send generic industrial-AI enthusiasm or a resume that leads with LLM app work. Do not pitch computer vision on a camera feed as if that were the product; the sensing pod is a means to a world model, not a dashboard. Lead with a specific operational problem you have actually stood next to, a production schedule that broke, a manifest that got consolidated wrong, a site that drifted from plan, and what data would have been needed to catch it.

Mistakes that kill Noetive applications

A recycled CV gets rejected fast at Noetive ( people). They notice.

Don't open with what you want. Open with what Noetive is dealing with right now — Lior Susan's number in the announcement is the thesis: 'AI has transformed the digital world, but the $30 trillion physical economy has largely been left behind, and what you'd do about it.

Most AI applications get ghosted. A day-five follow-up can double your response rate.
