About the role

From Siege Media's posting on Ashby, as they wrote it

Siege Media is a senior-led, full-service GEO agency. We help brands like Zapier, Asana, TripAdvisor, and Shutterstock earn visibility in Google, in AI answer engines, and increasingly in the social channels where buyers research and discover. We’ve built our reputation on serious, strategic work without agency bloat.

We’re adding paid social to our service mix, and you’d own the channel.

The role

This is a wedge hire. You’re building a paid social team, not joining one. On day one you own paid social as a new client service line and run Siege’s own paid social and retargeting. As the service books revenue, you’ll hire and lead a team.

This is a senior, client-facing role. You’ll pitch on sales calls, plan campaigns, work hands-on in the platforms while the service is new, and write the reports clients actually read. If you want to build a practice from scratch with the runway and brand of an established agency behind you, this role is for you.

What you’ll own

  • Client paid social (primary): Strategy, setup, optimization, and reporting for Siege clients. Building the playbook, pricing, and reporting cadence from zero.
  • Siege’s paid social: Retargeting engaged leads and running Meta and LinkedIn campaigns that feed our sales pipeline.
  • Sales support: Joining prospect calls to scope and sell paid social engagements with the growth team.
  • Team building: Hiring your first associate when revenue justifies it, then training and managing them to Siege’s senior-led standard. Owning the work until then.
  • Service infrastructure: The templates, QA processes, attribution approach, and reporting standards that make paid social a repeatable, sellable service.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years running paid social campaigns in an agency, ideally across LinkedIn and Meta
  • B2B and B2C experience, especially SaaS, ecommerce, and fintech. You know the difference between optimizing for clicks and optimizing for pipeline.
  • Comfort with clients. You can walk a VP of Marketing through a quarterly review without flinching.
  • Strong writing. Clients see your work directly, with no account managers in between.
  • Builder energy. You want to build and scale a service line, and you can keep it profitable early by executing and advising on campaigns yourself.

Bonus points

  • Experience with ChatGPT ads or other emerging ad platforms
  • Built or scaled a paid social practice inside an agency
  • Familiarity with B2B attribution problems: multi-touch, dark social, self-reported attribution
  • A client network in paid social that overlaps with our client base

Compensation & logistics

  • $115,000–$130,000 base, $135,000–$155,000 OTE
  • Full benefits, including health, dental, vision, and unlimited PTO
  • Remote-friendly, with a preference for Austin or willingness to travel for periodic team gatherings
