What Qualitate is building

Qualitate is rebuilding the expert network, the GLG-style business of paying industry insiders for one-hour calls, as a continuously growing research asset. It runs its own vetted panel of experts, and an AI Interviewer conducts the conversations, adapting follow-up questions to each answer. Those interviews feed a shared library of time-series intelligence on more than 10,000 public and private companies that customers query in plain language. Private studies a customer commissions never go into the shared library, and the system screens for material non-public information with firm-level access controls. The product has three layers. Track Your Market is the always-on part: a research agent, the transcript library, company and market signals, continuous monitoring. Launch Custom Research covers AI-moderated interviews, human-led calls whose transcripts get captured, and simulations using synthetic expert personas. Embedded Intelligence pushes all of it into the customer's workflow through context and memory, workspaces, and API, MCP and data-feed access. Per AlleyWatch, a custom project of 20 to 25 interviews comes back in three to seven business days at roughly a third of what traditional expert networks charge. The customer base is buy-side heavy (Alger, Stone Point Capital, Squarepoint, Whale Rock) plus enterprise software companies like UiPath, Alteryx and Commvault. Insight Partners was a paying customer before it led the round.

The money

Why this matters

The company's own numbers make the case: revenue run-rate up more than 10x this year, 12-month net revenue retention over 300%, and more than a million minutes of AI-moderated expert interviews. Customers expanding to three times their first-year spend is what happens when research stops being a per-call expense and becomes a database that gets more valuable with every conversation. The incumbent model is labor-bound: every insight requires scheduling an expert, paying for an hour, and a human analyst reading the transcript. Insight frames its thesis as backing companies "that own both a body of primary research and the means to expand it." An AI interviewer collapses the marginal cost of a conversation, so the moat shifts to the panel and the accumulated library, which is exactly what Qualitate is spending this round on.
