What score should my resume get?
70+ means an ATS parses you cleanly and your content carries relevant keywords. 50–70 is typical and usually fixable in an hour. Under 40 almost always means structural problems — tables, columns or graphics that mangle the text an ATS sees.
Why do tables and columns hurt an ATS score?
Most ATS parsers read a PDF top-to-bottom, left-to-right. Multi-column layouts interleave unrelated lines and tables scatter cell contents, so your job titles end up detached from their dates. Single-column layouts survive parsing intact.
Does the checker store my resume?
